Las Vegas Wants My Freedom

Imagine this situation:
"Knock, Knock, Knock," "Hello Mr. Doe we are the city of Las Vegas, Since you choose to reside in a single apartment unit in Las Vegas, you relinquish to privacy and have no choice but to allow your Vegas apartment home to be searched? Stand aside as we now will pillage throughout your Las Vegas apartment.

Imagine it real:
Yes. The city of Las Vegas is proposing a law where in they will have the right to search apartment units at random once per year. The city of Las Vegas proposes charging a fee to each occupant residing in an apartment unit a fee of $25 for the random apartment inspections. This does not apply to town homes, or single residence homes.

Hell no Las Vegas, I love this city and I love this country. That is why I am appalled at the news of what the city of Las Vegas would like to control. My freedom. Las Vegas, taking away freedoms that dare I say it but, our forefathers fought for. Forgive me but this negates the removal of tyranny for which the United States citizens have appreciated and loved so long . The city. Pleasantly ironic enough I receive the news of this new proposal from Las Vegas today, May 1, 2006 which in fact is the same day as the nation wide "walk out " performed by immigrants illegal and legal. They are showing their respect for the country and how they would do anything to live here in the United States, even if they must do it illegally. Don't take this freedom away from me. Don't mutate the United States standards and policy which we live by. Do not segregate me as a Las Vegas individual who rents an apartment. Don't assume appartment dwellers to be any different from those who rent and own homes. Don't tell us what you are going to do to us as citizens of Las Vegas. Don't take away the freedom which I share with you.

Pass this law, then you will see. Much like Ann Frank, hiding in Las Vegas, I will be. And if so, i'll use the internet as my diary. That is if my speech is still free.

Please help, contact our congress officials, and the city of Las Vegas Mayor Oscar Goodman. This is not fair.

I can not find an email address for Mr. Sanchez. He is the one proposing this to city council. If you find an email address for Orlando Sanchez post it in a comment!

With ordinances like this I want to find out more about him. I would hate to see someone with his views in politics with too much power! Has he tried to pass anything else that may violate our rights? I will let you know what I find out. Feel free to post a comment if you have any information that may shed some light on him for us!

On June 7, 2006 a new ordnance will be introduced to the Las Vegas City Council that will allow Neighborhood Services to inspect your home. This ordnance applies to families living in apartments in Las Vegas. Don't let Mr. Orlando Sanchez, Director of Neighborhood Services violate your right to privacy!
